How Honda radio code recovery works
When a Honda radio loses power, the anti-theft lock asks for a code. Here is the path we use, plus the official options Honda already gives owners.
Step 1: Look for the code card
Search the glovebox, owner's pouch and service book for the anti-theft card. It often lists both the code and the serial.
Step 2: Find the serial if the card is gone
Use the on-screen method (often presets 1 and 6) or the label on the unit. Full guide: find your Honda radio serial number.
Step 3: Fill in the request form
Brand, model, serial and email. Both consent boxes are required.
Step 4: Our team retrieves the code
We process every request manually in the backend. We email the code when it is ready. Timing may vary.
Step 5: Enter the code carefully
Wrong entries can lock the radio for a wait period. See how to enter your Honda radio code.
Official and dealer options
- US owners: Honda's complimentary site at radio-navicode.honda.com typically needs VIN, serial, zip, phone and email.
- Acura: use Acura's radio and navigation code flow via Honda and Acura owner tools.
- Dealer: a franchised Honda or Acura dealer can often help with proof of ownership. Fees vary.
We mention these so you can choose. We are an independent recovery service, not Honda Customer Relations.
Is it really free?
Yes on our site. Honda's US online lookup is described by Honda as complimentary. Dealers may charge.
